I am a wife, mother, student of life and an advocate of sharing our human experiences.

Hello!

I am married thirteen years to my high school sweetheart, James, and together we are raising our two beautiful children, Noah Tae and Evelyn Faith. Evelyn was born with a complex CHD and craniofacial defects which resulted in a tracheostomy. She turned our world upside down. My days are filled with school drop offs and developmental therapies, bedtime stories and daily trach care. I move between mothering these littles and adding my voice to this medical life, by openly sharing online and sitting on committees at our local Children’s and Women’s Hospitals.

Oh yes, I wrote a book too!

Life. It doesn’t run like a neat script.

When my daughter was born and I found myself immersed in this role of medical mom, navigating such unfamiliar territory, I turned to writing as a means to make sense of it all.

It has become more than simply spilling words. It is the spilling of truth. My truth. Truth that is only fully accepted, understood and embraced when I see it staring back at me.

I then went and wrote a book about this truth. Because I have found that there is freedom in sharing our rich and diverse stories. Our stories also layered with connective tissue, pieces that build bridges deep within us. It is these bridges that have inspired and uplifted my heart the most.

Perhaps they will do the same for you.
